Combat Beads Put & Take Bead – Aged Brass
Trench Ante
Inspired by a game invented by soldiers in the trenches of WWI, the Combat Beads Put & Take Bead combines fun, form, and functionality into a must-have lanyard bead.
The “Put & Take” game was originally played with a brass bullet-shaped into a 6-side spinning top. Just like the original, the solid brass Put & Take Bead features 6-sides with the instructions: Put one, Put two, All put, Take one, Take-Two, or Take all.
To play, each player puts an ante in the pot (originally cigarettes). The Put & Take Bead is then spun, and depending on how the Bead falls, the instruction is followed and the game carries on until somebody lands a “Take all”. By which the game is restarted with a new ante.
A true blue working man’s game, Put & Take was so popular that during the 1920 and 1930s, it was introduced as a gambling game and was predominantly played in the North of England in Working men’s clubs and pubs. If you’re looking to add some color and character to your EDC, it’s time to “Take all” with the Combat Beads Put & Take Bead.
